A view of the town of Telegraph Creek, one of British Columbia's most remote towns. Remember, from here it is over 110 km (66 miles) to the nearest town, a one hour drive even for a local committed to beating on his truck and risking his life, and that town is no bigger. It is at least 4 hours, probably more like 6, to a larger town with major services. The nearest commercial airport to Telegraph Creek, by road, is about 760 km (470 miles, 8 to 10 hours) away, in Whitehorse, Yukon. One of the things that amazed me was, from this angle, the almost suburbia look about this small town.
