As it flows down from the unnamed ice cap, the Salmon Glacier splits and
travels in two directions. To the left it becomes the source of the Salmon
River, while to the right it ends in a lake. The long black stripes are
medial moraines, which mark where two glaciers joined together farther
upstream. They trace the motion of the ice.
