Tom, one of my professors, inside our tent. There were six people in our tent, which was heated by the oil-burning stove near Tom's bed. The temperature could vary a lot from place to place in the tent, and there was no thermostat on the heater, just a flow control, so it could also vary from time to time. Usually it was slightly above freezing on the floor, and 10 to 15°C (50 to 59°F) on the table next to my bed, which was far from the stove.
