It was a playground that seemed to catch its eye. I don't know what
made it interested, but it seems unlikely that it thought the stuff on
the ice was food, so I assume it was just curious and playful. First
it played with the biologists buoys, putting some nice teeth holes in
the hard, thick plastic of one of them.

Then they started trying to scare it off by blowing the ship's horn
when it went to play with things. That would definitely get it's
attention, but only for a moment, then it would go back to playing,
and after a few times it seemed to pay less attention.

In this case it jumped quite a bit when the horn blew.

It attracted quite a crowd on the aft deck. Many of them came from a
volleyball game in the helicopter hanger and were wearing shorts;
fortunately it was a sunny evening with no wind.
