Dante's View overlooks the salt flat of Death Valley from 5475 feet above sea-level, almost directly above Badwater, 280 feet below sea-level. From this place you can see Telescope Peak (11,049 feet), the highest point in the park, and Mount Williamson, a 14,000 foot peak near Mount Whitney, in the Sierra Nevada.
