My coworkers Marcel and Anja, from Germany, had a small party where they made a German drink called Feuerzangenbowle. It was hot red wine with spices in it, over which a cone of sugar, soaked in very strong rum, is set on fire and allowed to melt into the wine. It was very good, and made for an interesting show. The photos are from my phone, which being a phone rather than a camera, doesn't take the best pictures; imagine asking someone 20 years ago if you could borrow their phone to take a photo—they probably would have thought you had had too much Feuerzangenbowle.
