We knew there was some bad weather out to sea, and as soon as we left the shelter of the local islands the ship started moving quite a bit. As an ice breaker it has a very round hull, making it less stable than many ships. Also, because we took on so much fuel in Tromsų, the stabilizers couldn't be used. The result was a bit of a rocking boat, even without really bad weather. |
